Companies Multikino S.A. and Echo Investment signed an agreement concerning construction of 6-screen cinema in Bełachatów. Another object of one of the biggest in Poland multiplex cinema operators shall be realized within Galeria OLIMPIA, which shall be erected in place of presently functioning ECHO Commercial Center. Bełachtów Multikino shall open in 2012.

„The multi-screen cinema theatre arising within Galeria Olimpia shall be the first building of this type in Bełchatów and we are convinced, that it shall fully satisfy expectations and needs of the city inhabitants. It shall be another picture theatre, which shall be constructed in cooperation with Multikino - the network we have cooperated with for years. Multikino movie theatres operate in our biggest shopping-entertainment centers: 11-screen complex in Pasaż Grunwaldzki in Wrocław and a 9-screen cinema in Galaxy in Szczecin. The decision of Multikino to develop in these regional centers opens before us much wider perspectives of cooperation, within which we assume realization of subsequent projects.” - says Marcin Materny, the director of commercial centers’ department of Echo Investment.

Galeria OLIMPIA is a shopping-entertainment center which shall be erected after the extension of presently operating ECHO Commercial Center located at Kolejowa and Armii Krajowej streets in Bełachatów.

At present ECHO Commercial Center (GLA ca. 9 300 square meters) contains a Carrefour hypermarket, a store with building materials - Nomi and a mall with shops and service points. Clients of the center may use more than 260 parking places. After the extension of Galeria OLIMPIA, on the surface of approximately 31 000 square meters of GLA, approximately 70 shops and a 6-screen cinema shall be located. Client shall have at their disposal approximately 1 150 parking places.

The scheduled term of opening of Galeria OLIMPIA in Bełchatów falls in year 2012.
