On 24 June 2009 the Łomża town council decided to adopt the local plan of spatial development. This decision makes possible the development of the shopping center GALERIA VENEDA planned by Echo Investment.
Dariusz Anisiewicz – the architect and Project Manager of Echo Investment: „I am very pleased with the town council’s decision – we waited exceptionally long in Łomża for the completion of the planning process. Adopting of the local plan of spatial development means the beginning of preparations for this project - awaited by inhabitants for years – of the first new-generation shopping center in this city. The positive result of the session is also a sign of openness and pro-developments’ policy of the Mayor and the town council. I am also convinced, that realization of Veneda Gallery shall considerably contribute to Łomża’s development and shall strengthen its role as an important regional center”.
VENEDA GALLERY center shall be built at the junction of Zawadzka and Sikorskiego streets in Łomża. A gallery containing approximately 90 shops and a hypermarket shall operate on the area of approximately 39 000 sq. m.
Customers shall have at their disposal more than 600 parking places.
The architectural conception was created in the Warsaw design studio Mąka Sojka Architekci in co-operation with Echo Investment architects’ team.
The commencement of building works is scheduled for IInd quarter of 2010, and accomplishment of the project - for the IVth quarter of 2011.
The cost of Veneda Gallery construction has been estimated approximately EUR 30 million, and the Company shall invest ca. EUR 3,5 million from this amount in rebuilding of transport system in the city centre.
At present negotiations are being carried out with potential leaseholders of commercial areas.
