During MAPIC fair held in Cannes, France on 15-17 November 2006 representatives of Echo Investments – a developer for ARENA commercial centre and of BC Club Sp.z o.o. signed an agreement to let out the area intended for a 12-line bowling alley and accompanying attractions: disco, snooker club, game arcade and sports pub.
In the opinion of Dariusz Siadak, president of the board of BC “a 12-line bowling alley is an optimal solution for the market in Słupsk. Prices for using a bowling alley should be accessible for local customers. It is important to supplement the program of the bowling alley by adding other attractions”. The bowling alley and accompanying program proposals will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions of the newly built centre.
“We have very good and proven solutions that make the bowling alley an attractive entertaining centre. In our bowling alleys in Koszalin and Szczecin we developed a bowling alley, snooker, games and pub at the same time. As s result no single function dominates in the facility. We created a fashion that people not only come to bowl but they come to the entire centre. This plan will be also pursued in Słupsk”, added Siadak.
Marcin Materny, director for development at Echo Investments SA thinks that “the fact of letting out the bowling alley along with an agreement to let out a 7-hall cinema to Helios closes the process of commercialization of the entertaining part in ARENA and in practice it means that a market gap in entertaining areas in Słupsk was filled in. The fact that ARENA won key entertaining lessees in such a short time proves that the centre and its location is attractive and its regional character go far beyond the city limits”.
