Warsaw Breweries blossom in spring
Warsaw Breweries blossom in spring

The first weekend of the calendar spring – March 22 and 23 – will kick off a season full of attractions at the Warsaw Breweries. A walk with a Warsaw guide, creative workshops for children and adults, bicycle services, outdoor exhibitions – all set against a backdrop of floral decorations – is just the beginning of the events awaiting visitors to the Warsaw Breweries this spring.

The first warm and sunny days, along with the song of birds, signal that spring is just around the corner. It’s a perfect time to take a stroll to the Warsaw Breweries and enjoy the charm of nature awakening to life, even in the city center. It’s also a great opportunity to eat something delicious, sip good coffee in the sunshine, and take advantage of the attractions that will abound this spring. “Welcoming spring is a joyful time, so we decided to complement the rich culinary offerings of our dozens of restaurateurs with cultural and entertainment events. Traditionally, the iconic staircase has donned a spring outfit, this time created by illustrator Karolina Lubaszko, the entrance has been adorned with spring greenery, and floral decorations will soon appear in the squares and alleys, which will surely pleasantly surprise our guests - says Milena Nawrat, Spokesperson for the Warsaw Breweries.

Walking Tour with a Guide "PoWarszawsku"

Spring is a time of a surge of new energy, which is worth using to rediscover the city. Interested in the history of the Warsaw Breweries and its surroundings can join an intriguing walk on March 22 at 2:00 PM led by Łukasz Ostoja-Kasprzycki – a guide and enthusiast known from the "PoWarszawsku" project. Participants of the tour will learn who invented beer gardens, which have become so popular in Warsaw, and discover the history of cellars that were once filled with beer and served as central meeting points for residents. He will also reveal what the mysterious soup "plujka" was.

Creative Activities for adults and children

Everyone who wants to unleash their creative instincts is invited by the Warsaw Breweries to art and craft workshops that will take place on March 22-23, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at NINE’s restaurant (children's workshops) and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Food Hall (adult workshops). Children aged 6-13 will have the opportunity to create spring macramé and glass decorations. Adults, on the other hand, will try their creative hands at painting ceramics and planting a small forest in a jar.

Participation in the walk and workshops is free, but registration is required. Links for reserving spots and organizational details of the planned events can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1322152535705242

Free bicycle services

The city is best admired in spring on foot or by bike. To ensure the safety of cyclists, the Warsaw Breweries will organize bicycle services on March 22 and 23 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Cycling enthusiasts who take advantage of the offerings at the Warsaw Breweries and show a receipt will be able to get a full bike inspection in the square in front of the Brewery, near NINE’s restaurant.

Illustrators' exhibition

Also starting on the first weekend of spring will be an outdoor exhibition of works by illustrators supported by the Warsaw Breweries: Karol Banach, Katarzyna Bogucka, Dawid Rylski, Jan Kallwejt, Justyna Stasik, Michał Loba, Justyna Czychowska, Anna Rudak, Renata Krawczyk, Martyna Wócik-Śmierska, and Karolina Lubaszko. In the coming months, graphics that have adorned the most Instagrammable stairs in Warsaw will be displayed on the pipeline along the woonerf of Haberbusch and Schiele.
