Loans of EUR 47 mln and PLN 7 mln for development of Galeria Amber
Loans of EUR 47 mln and PLN 7 mln for development of Galeria Amber

A project of Echo Investment has been granted two loans amounting to EUR 47 mln and PLN 7 mln from Bank Pekao SA. The funds will be used for the development of Galeria Amber in Kalisz – the biggest shopping centre in the Kalisz and Ostrów agglomeration.

“It is yet another project to be developed by a company from the Echo Investment group in cooperation with Bank Pekao SA, which has lasted incessantly since 1999. It is a proof that the bank is ready to participate in financing commercial projects of Echo Investment even in economically difficult times. The value of the loan agreement concerning the development of Galeria Amber is a confirmation of the project"s quality and the developer"s long-term experience. We hope to conclude some more transactions with Bank Pekao SA in the future,” says Grzegorz Iwański, Director of the Funding Department in Echo Investment. The development of Galeria Amber in Kalisz is progressing according to schedule. “It is the biggest shopping centre in the Kalisz and Ostrów agglomeration, which is to offer a wide range of retail and entertainment products and services. "Galeria Amber will certainly satisfy the needs of the inhabitants of the whole region. We have chosen the general contractor, Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex, and we have secured the project"s funding. It is very good news. The commercialization process is going very well. Negotiations with some more companies interested in leasing areas are in progress,” says Marcin Materny, Director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department - Foreign Projects. ***
Galeria Amber is a four-storey shopping and entertainment centre, which is being developed in the centre of Kalisz, in the vicinity of the main bus and railway stations, at the junction of Górnośląska and Trasa Bursztynowa streets. Its leasable area amounts to 33,500 sqm. There will be an E.Leclerc hypermarket as well as 140 shops and service outlets in the facility, including cafes and restaurants. There is also a 7-screen cinema planned, the operator of which will be Helios. Customers will have approx. 1,000 parking spaces at their disposal. Customers of the centre will be able to choose from the offer of a two-storey shop of the H&M clothing chain, which has leased premises with a total area of 1,600 sqm. C&A will also move into a two-storey outlet with an area of nearly 1,700 sqm. Meanwhile New Yorker has a two-storey outlet with an area of over 1,000 sqm at its disposal. Other shops in Galeria Amber include: Reserved, Adidas, Reebok, NIKE, Puma, Lee Wrangler, RTV Euro AGD, Rossmann, Ochnik, Kazar, Harpers, VIP Collection and Via Roma.
The opening of the facility is to take place in Q3 2013. The preliminary architectural concept of Galeria Amber was developed by Bose International Planning and Architecture while Artur Jasiński i Wspólnicy Biuro Architektoniczne Sp. z o.o. and Echo Investment"s team of architects are the authors of its construction design. www.galeria-amber.com.pl
