Echo Investment has signed contracts with the Real chain concerning lease of areas in four shopping centres of Echo – in Tarnów, Jelenia Góra, Piotrków Trybunalski and Radom.

The total value of the contracts signed amounts to EUR 38.15 mln (over PLN 158 mln). The contracts have been concluded for the period of 10 years. The Real chain is to take over the retail areas on 30 January 2013.
There are hypermarkets of the French Carrefour chain currently operating in the four above-mentioned shopping centres.

The Real chain has 54 hypermarkets in Poland employing 13,500 people. Sales are carried out in 36 towns and cities in 14 provinces. In 2006 Real incorporated retail outlets of the Geant brand into its structures.
