The Astra Park office complex developed in Kielce by Echo Investment has received a GreenBuilding certificate. It is the first office building in the region to receive this confirmation of fulfilling ecological requirements.
GreenBuilding is a programme of the European Commission, the aim of which increasing the level of effective energy consumption in commercial buildings. In order for a building to receive the certificate, it is necessary to fulfil one basic condition – the consumption of energy must be at least 25 pct lower than the level stipulated by national norms applied in the location where the project is being developed.
Astra Park is a modern office building located in Kielce at Solidarności Avenue 36. It consists of three buildings with a gross leasable area of 16,300 sqm. The opened in 2007 office building is the seat of such companies as Echo Investment, Cersanit and Barlinek. The designer of the facility is DDJM Biuro Architektoniczne Sp. z o.o.
It is not the first GreenBuilding certificate for a facility developed by Echo Investment. Park Postępu in Warsaw’s Mokotów district also obtained the certificate in February 2011. The company is currently preparing to acquire this certificate for buildings of the Malta Office Park project in Poznań, which is being developed by Echo on Abp Antoniego Baraniaka Street.
