Echo Investment at MIPIM 2011 in Cannes

Investors interested in commercial projects, such as Echo shopping centres in Pabianice and Bełchatów.

Due to good results of the national economy, Polish property market enjoyed exceptional interest among participants of this year’s MIPIM fair. Poland has become a very attractive market for foreign investors; it is often listed directly after Germany as the best place to invest. The current situation and investors’ moods were the focus of the discussion panel entitled ‘Poland: Best Investment Products in 2011 & 2012’, which Adrian Karczewicz, director at Echo Investment, participated in.

Representatives of Echo Investment who were present at the fair received many questions concerning current and planned projects of the company. Detailed questions referred to office projects such as Park Postępu, Oxygen in Szczecin and the seat of Polkomtel in Warsaw as well as the shopping centres in Pabianice and Bełchatów.

Green light for Outlet Park Szczecin and extension of Pasaż Grunwaldzki

Outlet Park Szczecin, the biggest outlet centre in the West Pomeranian province has been considered to be a project which will considerably extend the retail offer of the region and will contribute to its investment attractiveness by the authorities of Szczecin. The Deputy Mayor of Szczecin, Aleksander Buwelski: ‘The project of Echo will be the only investment of this type developed in our region in the next few years. The fact that the outlet centre is to be built in Szczecin proves the maturity and attractiveness of the local market’.

The extension of Pasaż Grunwaldzki is getting closer

Interested parties have confirmed the compatibility of the Echo Investment project with the urban development policy of Wrocław. There has also been a schedule of next activities established with regard to the development of the project.

Better moods on financial markets

Much more optimistic moods could be observed among financiers during this year’s fair. Grzegorz Iwański, Director of the Funding Department at Echo Investment told about a better cooperation with banks and greater openness of financial institutions in an interview for TVN CNBC.
