Pierre Cardin becomes a new leaseholder in the extended shopping-entertainment center Echo Gallery in Kielce.

At present Echo Gallery in Kielce measures approximately 68 000 sq. m., where the lease area constitutes approximately 26 000 sq. m. After its extension the project will have the total area of approximately 159 000 sq. m., and the lease area will measure 66 000 sq. m. Customers will have approximately 2300 parking places at their disposal.

In the extended Echo Gallery customers will do their shopping in almost 300 shops. Two top storeys of the center are intended for entertainment and recreational functions. Customers will have at their disposal a body building gym, a fitness club, a 12-alley bowling hall, a discotheque, numerous restaurants, cafes and a parlour for the children and other attractions located at various storeys of the center.

Works connected with the extension of the center commenced in September 2008. The new Echo Gallery will be opened in Autumn of 2010. The value of the investment is estimated for approximately 400 million PLN.

Pierre Cardin is a Frenchman born in Venice, Italy, in 1922. At the age of 24, he became Christian Dior’s assistant and in 1950 he began his career on his own.
In 1953 he designed his first collection and immediately found himself among leading designers of the world. He reinforced his position a year later, creating a bubble-shaped skirt.
In 1958 he introduced a new style of menswear, combining comfort with elegance.
In the 1960s he created an independent men’s clothes line. At the same time the designer bought the Maxim chain and developed it into a chain of restaurants, hotels and clubs operating in exclusive districts all over the world. Pierre Cardin became famous for his collections inspired by space and astronautics, as well as geometry. Today’s clothes by Pierre Cardin are characterized by top quality and individual approach to the demanding customer. The first Pierre Cardin salon in Poland was opened in 2002.
