Jazz at Warsaw Breweries has become a permanent fixture - also in a version for children. On July 6, another concert for the youngest will take place, this time featuring guest trumpeter Jerzy Małek. Entry to the event is free.
The concert will be held on July 6 at 2:00 PM in the Central Garden, at ul. Grzybowska 60.
The musical meeting with jazz will be led by Magdalena Este, a vocalist and author of Polish children’s adaptations of lyrics to well-known jazz songs in arrangements by Michał Tokaj. She will be accompanied on stage by Mateusz Kaszuba - piano, Wojciech Pulcyn - double bass, and Patryk Dobosz - drums. Special guest will be the renowned Polish jazz trumpeter Jerzy Małek. The concert will feature specially selected and arranged jazz standards and songs from the repertoire of artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, and George Gershwin.
- We invite you to a unique jazz concert for the youngest, during which sounds and rhythms will transport children into a world of creative play and musical adventure. Previous concerts have shown that jazz is for everyone, regardless of age. That’s why on July 6, we encourage you to spend time with your family at Warsaw Breweries, says Milena Nawrat, spokesperson for Warsaw Breweries.
The next concerts will take place on August 3 (featuring Michał Zaborski) and September 7 (featuring Piotr Baron).
The event is organized by Warsaw Breweries and the EuroJAZZ Foundation, which has been promoting jazz music among children for many years. The material from the concert hints at a new album, scheduled for release this year. Already available on streaming platforms is the third single from the album — "Jazzujący wróbelek" ("The Jazzing Sparrow"):
