The pandemic urged Echo Investment to analyse solutions the company provides its tenants as standard. The developer decided that its office buildings have to be equipped with an extended package of benefits, tailored to the new reality, that will guarantee their users a higher level of protection – Echo Pure Office. In this challenging year, the company completed construction of as many as six buildings in Warsaw, Wrocław and Katowice and acquired such recognized tenants as Fujitsu, Sii Polska and Pyszne.pl.
Echo Investment has marketed 125,000 sqm. of modern office space since the beginning of 2020. The developer has completed the construction of the Villa Offices, the Malthouse Offices, Moje Miejsce II in Warsaw, as well as the first phase of West4 Business Hub in Wrocław and Face2Face Business Campus in Katowice. All buildings already have tenants.
Echo Investment has been present on the commercial and residential property market for 25 years. Taking advantage of its rich experience in various sectors, the developer focuses on large, city-creating projects, called "destinations", the most recognizable of which is the Warsaw Brewery. Last year Echo Investment completed the office part of this multifunctional project, putting into operation two office buildings – The Villa Offices and the Malthouse Offices. Among the tenants who chose the largest commercial building in the Warsaw Brewery i.e. the Malthouse Offices – Grupa Żywiec and the Allen & Overy law firm can be found.
“The pandemic has forced many changes in the office market. All our teams were put on high alert. Our priority was to execute the project right on schedule and to guarantee the safety of employees on our construction sites. Our experts observed the behaviour of office workers and analysed ways to maintain higher standards of hygiene. They translated this collected knowledge into implementing solutions that eliminate most risks and strengthen the safety of users to planned and already constructed office buildings," says Rafał Mazurczak, Echo Investment’s management board member.
Echo Pure Office – a new standard in the office market
Echo Investment has put even more emphasis on the fact that its constructed projects are well-designed and include solutions which guarantee an increased level of security. After a careful analysis of tenants' needs, the developer focused on providing clean and healthy air. As part of the new Echo Pure Office standard, ventilation ducts in office spaces were equipped with proven RCI ActivePure technology, often used in hospitals. Echo Investment is the first developer in Poland and Europe to introduce this solution to office projects on such a large scale.
By starting up cooperation with ActivTek, the company invested in a system that helps ensure the highest indoor air quality for users both during and after the pandemic. The focus was on equipment that is connected to building ventilation systems because it is through these ducts that pathogenic microorganisms can be transmitted.
“We have armed our buildings with the most effective air purification technology and are constantly working on another solutions to improve the comfort of our tenants. In particular, solutions that work in the long term, not those that bring ad-hoc results. Based on research into the effectiveness of the introduced system, we have decided that the technologies that allow us to ensure clean air in our buildings will be provided to tenants as standard, not as temporary or preventative solutions. Therefore, the RCI ActivePure technology has been installed in the West 4 Business Hub project in Wrocław. React in Łódź and MidPoint71 in Wrocław are next projects where the technology will be installed," says Anna Kaczmarczyk, property management director at Echo Investment's office department.
For the last 25 years Echo Investment has been improving its competence in the main sectors of the real estate market: residential, retail and service as well as office. Thanks to such projects as Malta Office Park in Poznań, Tryton in Gdańsk or Q22 in Warsaw, the company has gained the status of one of the most recognizable office developers in the country and holds a leading position in the commercial sectors of its activity.
