Galeria Młociny over 90% leased - Medicine Everyday Therapy on the list of tenants
Galeria Młociny over 90% leased - Medicine Everyday Therapy on the list of tenants

Medicine Everyday Therapy at Galeria Młociny will be the largest store of the chain in Poland. The flagship store arranged in line with the latest concept of the brand will occupy 540 sqm in the complex built by Echo Investment. Thanks to this contract, the lease level exceeded 90%. The opening of Galeria Młociny is planned at the turn of March and April next year.

The construction of Galeria Młociny entered the final straight. Installation and finishing works have already begun in the building, and the first tenants began to occupy their space.

“The pace of work is impressive. At the same time, up to 1,500 people work at the construction site. Our goal is to open a fully leased, modern and multi-functional complex in spring this year that will quickly become one of the favourite places for spending free time and shopping for Varsovians” says Szymon Mińczuk, Regional Leasing Manager at of Echo Investment’s Shopping Centres Department.

The group of tenants developing in the vicinity of the Młociny transport hub systematically grows by really good, diverse brands and, most importantly, expected by future clients. The list of stores will be expanded by the Medicine - Everyday Therapy chain founded by Krzysztof Bajołek, who was behind the success of, among others Mohito, House or the popular Answear.com website. The largest Medicine store in the country will be located on the first floor of the Fashion Avenue, in the vicinity of such stores as Van Graaf or Solar.

“Medicine Everyday Therapy is a very interesting diversification of our fashion offer. The largest and most presentable store in the country will certainly attract people looking for independence in fashion, a bit of extravagance and original collections” says Michał Banasik, Senior Leasing Manager at Echo Investment’s Shopping Centres Department.

The brand, established five years ago, was built on the foundation of another well-known clothing chain featured by a Polish label - Reporter. Its stores in mid-August 2013 were changed into stores of Medicine. An impressive debut was supported by a strong advertising campaign with photos of the well-known photographer duo Zuzy Krajewska and Bartek Wieczorek. From the very beginning, the ambition of the founders of Medicine was to create collections distinctive on the market.

„From the beginning of the brand's existence, we focus on good quality, original designs, coherent image and presence in places that are able to attract people. Not only interesting brands and stores, but also resting in a cafe or meetings with good food. Galeria Młociny, in addition to being a place that combines many functions, convinced us with a great location with easy access, as well as an interesting concept of the Fashion Avenue with huge, over 7-meter show windows. Our designers will have the opportunity to show there their creativity” comments Wioletta Marona-Chrobot, Director of Development, Medicine Everyday Therapy.

The owners of the brand often stress that all clothes are works of Polish designers. What's more, Medicine can work with young artists. In line with the mission statement "Art is my medicine", the brand invites creators to design clothes. One of the last artistic cooperation was collaboration with Natalia Rak and Beata Śliwińska aka Barrakuz and the creation of a limited series of "Street Art" t-shirts with prints taken from works of both artists.

New, mixed-use centre of Bielany

The place will combine 220 favourite stores and service outlets, comfortable offices, a medical centre, playgrounds, a fitness club, restaurants and cafes, a trampoline park and the first multiplex cinema in the district within a friendly and green area.

Galeria Młociny is distinguished by an innovative approach in the design of meeting places, entertainment and gastronomy. Its restaurant and entertainment space, which occupies the entire +2 floor and is connected with the green roof garden, has been divided into various functional zones. Architects from the renowned Broadway Malyan studio transferred the atmosphere of cosy cafes, street-food and eating out as well as outdoor dining among greenery to Warsaw’s Bielany district. This is the first concept of its kind in Poland.

Galeria Młociny is being developed right next to Młociny hub – one of the places with the best transport links in Warsaw, with direct access to the underground, numerous tram lines and bus routes, suburban and national buses, a bicycle station and a P&R car park. It is the most important transfer location for the northern part of the city and satellite towns and it is used by over 24 mln passengers every year. Investors of Galeria Młociny are: EPP (70 pct shares) and Echo Investment (30 pct shares). The former company will manage the newly-opened complex. The latter one is fully responsible for the development and lease process.
