The Galaxy shopping centre in Szczecin, which is the most recognizable centre in the region, still attracts new, prestigious tenants. This time it is Tefal Home & Cook, one of the most recognizable global brands offering household appliances, which is to open the first regular shop operating under its brand in Poland. So far Tefal opened its shops in outlet centres.
“It is a coincidence that the first in Poland shop of the Tefal Home&Cook brand is to open here, in Galaxy,“ said Karol Turek, retail sales director Groupe SEB Polska. “We wanted to be present in one of the most recognizable shopping centres in north-western Poland, which will also be one of the most modern and best located shopping and entertainment facilities in the region after its. “When starting the extension of Galaxy we hoped that it would attract new, prestigious tenants,” said Karolina Prędota-Krystek, senior leasing manager at Echo Investment. And this has been the case. Tefal is a global, popular brand offering household appliances and its shop in Szczecin will be the first of its kind in Poland. The brand"s decision to make its debut in Galaxy was certainly affected by its excellent location supported by high footfall as well as the scale and flair of the extension, which is to be completed soon. In their conversations with us a lot of tenants complement the quality of architecture and our care for the user"s comfort. They are particularly impressed by striking and practical solutions improving the quality of display in tenants" shop windows as well as two-storey shop windows. Tefal is part of Groupe SEB, which is the leader in the segment of kitchen equipment and small household appliances. Tefal is number one in the world in the sale of frying pans and sauce pans. The Galaxy shopping centre is a modern project which was opened in 2003, it includes 132 outlets and it is currently being extended. After the completion of the extension work it will include 176 retail outlets. The opening of the next part of the centre is planned for November this year. The property is located in the centre of Szczecin and it consists of two buildings: a shopping centre and a five-storey car park for 1,270 cars, which is connected with the main building by a bridge over an internal road and a passageway for pedestrians on the ground floor. This year Galaxy was awarded the Golden Customer Laurels 2017 for the third time as well as the Grand Prix Customer Laurels 2017. Galaxy was considered the most recognizable among shopping centres, outstripping its competitors in the region. Since 2016 Galaxy has been in the portfolio of EPP (Echo Polska Properties). The company is also responsible for facility management.
