More entertainment, meeting places, recreation and gastronomy as well as better exposure of tenants and a convenient car park. Echo Investment and Echo Polska Properties present the new image of Galeria Młociny a few days after its acquisition.
“Galeria Młociny is the largest entertainment and shopping facility under construction in Warsaw. We want its concept to be in line with the adopted by us principle of creating meeting places, which are full of energy and offer a lot of functions. The first stage of the design work focused on the introduction of more amenities for future tenants and customers. We have been working on the ultimate shape of the facade and the interior design. We are extending the gastronomy and entertainment offer of the centre. We want the shape of Galeria Młociny to integrate well with the surrounding green areas. We have also introduced significant changes to the car park, thanks to which moving around it will be safe, very intuitive and comfortable. We have improved communication between the levels of the centre and changed the location of the escalators. We are also planning to revitalize the area around the project,” says Marcin Materny, member of the board and director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. “We devoted a lot of attention to better exposure of tenants. Striking, tall shop windows in the new fashion passageway on the first floor look excellent. In the eastern section there will be a spacious square dedicated to recreation and entertainment, which will be connected with an external patio overlooking a green park. The recreational and entertainment square will be continued on all levels of the mall. We also extended the gastronomy offer, apart from popular restaurants and cafes Galeria Młociny will also offer a broad range of local gastronomy concepts as well as a lot of waiter service restaurants. They will be suitable for quick business lunches as well as long meetings with friends and family. The restaurant area will include a window offering a view of the green roof. The friendly and green roof terrace will offer modern and comfortable leisure areas. The architecture will be complemented by a pleasant view of the nearby Młociński Forest. We have not forgotten about the young ones: a trampoline park will be located on the roof and the facility will include an additional, modern kids-play,” adds Materny. Michał Świerczyński, member of the board at EPP, the majority owner of the facility, comments: “Galeria Młociny is our first project in Warsaw – one of the most important retail markets in Poland. The property is perfectly in line with EPP"s development strategy, which envisages investments in modern, well designed shopping and entertainment centres as well as mixed-use facilities in large cities. Galeria Młociny is located right next to an important transport hub which services a dynamically developing residential district and is used by 40,000 people every day. Echo Investment owns 30 pct of Galeria Młociny and it is responsible for the preparation of a refreshed concept of the facility, its development on and lease. Echo Polska Properties is the majority shareholder and it will be responsible for the management of the facility after the opening of Galeria Młociny. Galeria Młociny is a shopping and office centre with a combined leasable area of 82,000 sqm, 71,000 sqm of which is earmarked for retail, entertainment and gastronomy. The facility is planned to include a modern cinema, a fitness club, an extended food-court as well as a medical centre. The mall is 60 pct leased already. Its key fashion brands include the Inditex group: Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, as well as: Van Graaf, H&M, C&A, CCC, Wojas, Sephora, Douglas, The Body Shop and MAC. Contracts have also been signed with: Intermarche, Jysk, RTV Euro AGD, Go Sport, Martes Sport, SMYK and CINEMA 3D as well as the Calypso fitness club. The construction of the first stage started in October 2016 and the completion is planned for Q1 2019.
