Helios is to occupy nearly 3,000 sqm in Galeria Libero, which is being developed by Echo Investment in Katowice.

“Residents of the southern part of the city have been waiting for a modern multi-screen cinema for quite a long time. When exiting the building on Uniwersytecka street over two years ago Helios promised residents of Katowice that it would come back here. Echo Investment also addressed the expectations while preparing Galeria Libero, which we were invited to. Our cinemas represent top standard: world class equipment and technology. Our cinema in Libero will have the Dolby Atmos sound system and as far as 3D technology is concerned it will use the DepthQ system, in which the viewer buys their own sunglasses and can use them during their next visits to our cinema. Helios cinemas are something more than a regular repertoire offering world premieres. Everyone will find something for themselves in our extensive offer of so-called special projects,” says Tomasz Jagiełło, president of the board at Helios S.A. This is another contract to have been signed by Echo Investment and Helios S.A. The companies have been cooperating with each other for many years. Helios cinemas operate in Galeria Echo in Kielce, Galeria Olimpia in Bełchatów, Outlet Park Szczecin, Galeria Sudecka in Jelenia Góra and Galeria Amber in Kalisz. Galeria Libero will be built on a plot with an area of 54,000 sqm. The facility will offer a retail and entertainment area of 42,000 sqm which will be located on three floors. Apart from shops and service outlets as well as some of the most important chains and a supermarket, the shopping centre will also include a very extensive entertainment and gastronomy offer which will consist of an 8-screen cinema, a snooker club, a play area for children, squash and badminton courts, restaurants offering access to a terrace. The facility is to be developed on Tadeusza Kościuszki street – one of the most important traffic routes in the city.
