A fire started at the building site of the Q22 office building on the 26th of February this year. Nobody was hurt, a dozen or so employees of the contractor left hospital after a medical examination. The work was resumed in the afternoon.
“A fire brigade was at the site within 5 minutes. There was little fire but there was quite a lot of smoke because some polystyrene foam was on fire. All the procedures worked well and we moved employees beyond the area of the facility. A dozen or so people who stayed in the area most affected by the smoke were taken to hospital to be examined, however, nobody was hospitalized. The most important thing is that nobody was hurt. There was little damage, only four window panels were destroyed. The work was resumed in accordance with a decision of the building site inspector,” says Artur Rakoczy, Q22 project director. Q22 is a 155-metre modern office building which is being developed in the business centre of Warsaw, at the junction of Jana Pawła II Avenue and Grzybowska Street. Its 14th floor is earmarked for special functions such as e.g. a conference centre and a fitness club while the restaurant area will be located on the first floor. Its five-storey underground car park will offer 348 spaces to Q22 users. There will also be bicycle parking spaces, changing rooms and showers for cyclists.
