The grand opening of a shop of the Swedish company Duka, which offers kitchen and dining room products, took place in Galeria Echo in Kielce on the 20th of May.
Duka offers products which reflect Scandinavian design and quality. Its shop in Galeria Echo has an area of 150 sqm. Customers can find there a broad range of kitchen and dining products already today.
“The Duka shop is located on 0 level, which already includes Home & You and Villa Italia. The first supermarket of the Swedish Jula chain will be opened right next to it on the 11th of June. In this way, in accordance with our strategy, Galeria Echo will have a separate section offering a broad range of home and garden as well as interior decoration products,” says Michał Banasik, leasing manager in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department.
Like all outlets of the Duka chain, also this one has been arranged in accordance with the "Kitchen Life" concept. It envisages that the kitchen is the focal point of a house. The product range of its shops consists of a broad selection of top quality kitchen accessories, porcelain, cutlery and tableware. The offer of the brand is addressed to modern cooking enthusiasts who pay a lot of attention to current trends and focus on the functional design.
The history of the Duka brand goes back to 1970s when its first shops were opened in Sweden and Norway as part of the CG Holding Norwegian capital group. Nowadays the Duka brand is part of the Swedish group Bergendahl&Son AB. The company has been present in Poland for over 15 years and it operates 36 shops.
Galeria Echo is one of the largest shopping and entertainment facilities in Poland in terms of the number of shops. Its total area amounts to 159,000 sqm, 70,000 sqm of which is earmarked for lease.
Apart from over 250 shops and service outlets, customers can also use its extensive entertainment offer, including a 12-lane bowling alley, the largest fitness centre in the region as well as a multi-screen Helios cinema. A playground with an area of 300 sqm is available to the young ones. Its multi-storey car park offers 2,300 spaces. It features a system of directing cars to empty spaces as well as a special function for reminding a customer about the location of their parked car.
The design of Galeria Echo"s extension was created in the Detan architectural studio of Kielce whereas the design of the facade and the interior was created by Warsaw"s architectural studio Open Architekci. Detan sp. z o.o. / OPEN Architekci / and Echo Investment"s team of architects.
