The construction of the second stage of Outlet Park Szczecin is in progress. Echo Investment signed a contract with the Volcano clothing chain which is to open a shop with an area of 180 sqm in the facility. Meanwhile the section of Outlet Park Szczecin which has been open is enjoying record footfall.
Thanks to the second stage Outlet Park Szczecin will gain nearly 5,000 sqm. The construction work is to finish in autumn this year. “The contract with the Volcano chain extends the offer of Outlet Park Szczecin, which is addressed to young people looking for sports and casual clothing. We conduct advanced negotiations with other clothing brands. We will soon report effects of the negotiations,” says Tomasz Nowakowski, senior leasing manager in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. After the completion of the second stage, Outlet Park Szczecin will have a total retail area of 21,300 sqm. Customers will be able to choose from 100 shops and 900 parking spaces. The open section of Echo Investment"s outlet centre is enjoying record footfall. “Last year Outlet Park Szczecin was visited by 2.5 mln people, which was the fourth best result in Poland. According to Q1 data Outlet Park Szczecin had nearly 670,000 customers, which means it is the second most popular outlet centre in the country. This is a great result considering it is the smallest outlet centre in Poland. It is worth emphasizing that after the completion of the third stage of its extension our project will have an area of 28,000 sqm and it will be one of the largest facilities of its type,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. Outlet Park Szczecin is located in Szczecin"s Prawobrzeże district. The facility was opened on November 7th, 2012. It offers brand-name products which are 30-70 pct cheaper compared to the prices in regular shops. A 7-screen Helios cinema and a section of the facility which includes Smyk Megastore and a Piotr i Paweł supermarket constitute additional assets of the project. The outlet section offers products of brands such as: Nike, Puma, Reebok, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Reserved, Bytom, Kari, Lee Wrangler, Wittchen, Kazar, Vero Moda, Jack Jones, Via Roma, Cross Jeans, Atlantic, Lavard, Ecco, Big Star, 4F, Ochnik, LKJ, Mc Arthur, Hot Oil, Wójcik, Lancerto, Gabor, Puere, Milano Shoes, Willsoor, Lee Cooper, Cropp, House and Mohito. The construction of the second stage of the project is on schedule.
