DGS Business Services in Oxygen office building
DGS Business Services in Oxygen office building

DGS Business Services has leased an office with an area of nearly 1,500 sqm in the Oxygen building, which was developed by Echo Investment in Szczecin. The office of DGS Business Services will be located on the 5th floor of the office building.

“We are very pleased that DGS Business Services will join the group of tenants of the Oxygen office building. It is another company representing modern technologies and services which opted for our facility in Szczecin while looking for top quality office space,” says Michał Żelski, senior leasing manager in Echo Investment"s Office and Hotel Department. “The opening of our specialist shared service centre is a milestone in the development of DGS in Poland. Starting from mid-April there will be over 50 people working in our office in the Oxygen office building and we are planning to employ more. We believe that the excellent location in the city centre as well as its modern and friendly working environment will be strong assets of the company, which will be appreciated by employees and consequently contribute to the our further development,” says Maciej Prusinowski, director of the DGS Business Services shared service centre. The recognized in Szczecin and its region DGS Poland Sp. z o.o. and the newly-opened shared service centre under the name of DGS Business Services sp. z o.o. are part of the global DGS organization that belongs to the Danish capital group William Demant, which is involved in the production of hearing aids, diagnostic equipment and interactive communication devices. The William Demant group started its operations in Poland in Mierzyn by opening a production hall and it initially operated under the name of Oticon Polska Production Sp. z o.o. While developing dynamically in the field of production and logistics the company was building its business support functions such as finances, IT software development and HR. Nowadays the DGS brand is one of the largest reputable employers in the region which provides app. 1,900 jobs. The tenant was represented by CBRE in the negotiations.
“DGS" investment can definitely be called the end of a losing streak in Szczecin in terms of the fight for foreign investments from the outsourcing business line. The last foreign investment from this sector took place here in 2013 and it was made by Genpact. For the last few years we observed lesser interest in the Szczecin market whereas new BPO/SSC projects were located in cities such as Poznań, TriCity and Katowice. From the perspective of the first few months of 2015 it can be observed that the number of enquiries concerning Szczecin has increased significantly and the DGS project and its scale confirms that the location has a lot of assets such as the availability of labour force, a competitive office market and a positive approach of the local government with regard to new projects. I am convinced that these factors will create favourable conditions for an increased interest in Szczecin among investors in the next few months,” comments Mariusz Wiśniewski, senior associate director, Office Tenant Representation Services, CBRE. www.oxygenoffice.com.pl
