Echo Investment acquired a permit for the construction of a Leroy Merlin DIY market, which is to be built as part of a retail park near Galeria Sudecka in Jelenia Góra.

“Obtaining a building permit for a DIY market of the Leroy Merlin chain starts the next stage of construction of a retail park that will be integrated with Galeria Sudecka, which is to be opened on the 29th of April. The construction of Leroy Merlin is to start in a few months. The planned completion date of the project is the beginning of 2016. It means that Galeria Sudecka will neighbour one of the most popular DIY markets in Poland, which is appreciated for its broad range of products and the quality of service. Together with Leroy Merlin we are developing a modern retail and service complex which will also include sports and entertainment functions and will be combined with a convenient car park for 1,800 cars,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district at the site of the Echo shopping centre which has been open for over 14 years. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets, as well as a multi screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area and a Fabryka Formy fitness club. The commercialization process of Galeria Sudecka has practically finished, there is only one small outlet still available. Echo Investment has recently signed contracts with: the C&A chain (1,200 sqm), Szachownica, Orsay, Bytom, Magnetic and Medicine, Aquael ZOO, Pawo, Badura, Prezenciarnia, Simple and Vision Express. Tenants are already finishing the fit out work in their outlets. The investor assumes that the project will be fully leased on its opening date i.e. the 29th of April this year. Apart from a Real hypermarket (which is owned by the Auchan chain), a Helios cinema and a Fabryka Formy fitness club tenants of Galeria Sudecka will include: C&A, Reserved, Carry, Go Sport, Super-Pharm, Empik, Smyk, RTV Euro AGD, House, Mohito, Sinsay, Cropp Town, Diverse, Top Secret, Monnari, Gino Rossi, Vistula, Wólczanka, Simple, Ochnik, CCC, Wojas, Ryłko, Triumph, Lee Wrangler, Big Star, Martes Sport, 4F, Apart, Yes, Ziaja, Gatta, Matras, Vision Express, Szachownica, Reporter Young, Cipo & Baxx, Badura, Orsay, Bytom, Magnetic, Pawo, Aquael ZOO, Prezenciarnia, Jupi Park, Cukiernia Sowa, Thai Restaurant, Kuchnia Polska, Berlin Doner Kebap and Grycan.
