Launch of second stage of Outlet Park Szczecin
Launch of second stage of Outlet Park Szczecin

Echo Investment has started the construction of the second stage of Outlet Park Szczecin. Eresco is the contractor of the shell of the project and its development is to be finished in Q4 this year.

Outlet Park Szczecin will be extended by nearly 5,000 sqm in the second stage. “We have already signed contracts with the Diverse chain, which is to open an outlet shop with an area of 340 sqm in the new part of the facility, as well as CCC (1,000 sqm) and HEBE (400 sqm). The group of tenants has also been joined by Simple, which will offer goods in the sales system. We want to focus on women"s fashion that is why we are conducting advanced negotiations with brands such as: Monnari, Gerry Weber, Molton, Bialcon and Volcano. We are finalizing negotiations with a large chain tenant interested in an area of 600 sqm. We observe a lot of interest among companies which are familiar with very good results of the first stage of the project,” says Michał Banasik, leasing manager in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. After the completion of the construction of the second stage Outlet Park Szczecin will have a total retail area of 21,300 sqm. Customers will be able to use 100 shops and 900 parking spaces. “The decision concerning the launch of subsequent stages of the project is a natural consequence of the success of Outlet Park Szczecin. Last year the facility had a footfall of nearly 2.5 mln people, which was the fourth best score in Poland. It is a very good result taking into consideration the fact that it is the smallest outlet centre in the country. The first stage of our project has less than 17,000 sqm whereas the average size of outlet projects in the country amounts to 20,000 sqm. The success of our project results from its excellent location in the Prawobrzeże district, which has 100,000 inhabitants, as well as the fact that it is the only outlet facility in Western Pomerania, which has a population of 2.5 mln. The presence of a 7-screen Helios multiplex is also important as well as a nearby Auchan hypermarket because such facilities generate additional footfall. Since the beginning we have intended to carry the project in three stages. Apart from 20 new shops we are also planning to extend the offer to a fitness club and a medical centre. After its completion the entire project will have GLA of 28,000 sqm and it will be one of the largest outlet facilities in Poland,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. Outlet Park Szczecin is located in Szczecin"s Prawobrzeże district. The facility was opened on the 7th of November 2012. It offers branded products which are 30-70 pct cheaper compared to prices in regular shops. Additional assets of the project include a 7-screen Helios cinema and the section of the facility which includes Smyk Mega Store and a Piotr i Paweł supermarket. Its outlet area offers products of brands such as: Nike, Puma, Reebok, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Reserved, Bytom, Kari, Lee Wrangler, Wittchen, Kazar, Vero Moda, Jack Jones, Via Roma, Cross Jeans, Atlantic, Lavard, Ecco, Big Star, 4F, Ochnik, LKJ, Mc Arthur, Hot Oil, Wójcik, Lancerto, Gabor, Puere, Milano Shoes, Willsoor, Lee Cooper, Cropp, House, Simple and Mohito.  Commercialization of the project was carried out in cooperation with CBRE. www.outletpark.eu
