Echo Investment acquired the final environmental decision concerning the construction of the Leroy Merlin supermarket which is being developed as part of the first stage of the retail park around Galeria Sudecka.

The first Leroy Merlin supermarket in Jelenia Góra will be constructed on a part of the plot with an area of over 51,000 sqm, which Echo Investment purchased last year. The DIY supermarket of the Leroy Merlin chain will have an area of 15,000 sqm. A functional and convenient car park for nearly 500 cars is also being built. “Acquiring the environmental decision is an important step towards the construction of a retail park, which will include Leroy Merlin. First, in spring this year, we will open a shopping and entertainment centre including 100 shops and service outlets, the first Helios multiplex in the town and the largest fitness club: Fabryka Formy. Next, we will start the two-stage construction of a retail park which will include the Leroy Merlin supermarket, to be followed by a Komfort shop with a total area of 700 sqm as well as an Agata Meble outlet with an area of 10,000 sqm. We treat Galeria Sudecka and the retail park as an integrated complex offering extended and varied functions. We do not think about it exclusively in terms of shopping but also entertainment, culture and sport. What sets our project apart is the complexity and comprehensiveness of its offer as well as above-average comfort of usage,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department.    Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district at the site of the Echo shopping centre which has been open for over 13 years. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets, as well as a multi screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area and a Fabryka Formy fitness club.Apart from a Real hypermarket (property of an Auchan chain), a Helios cinema and a Fabryka Formy fitness club tenants of Galeria Sudecka will include C&A, Reserved, Carry, Go Sport, Super-Pharm, Empik, Smyk, RTV Euro AGD, House, Mohito, Sinsay, Cropp Town, Diverse, Top Secret, Monnari, Gino Rossi, Vistula, Wólczanka, Simple, Ochnik, CCC, Wojas, Ryłko, Triumph, Lee Wrangler, Big Star, Martes Sport, 4F, Apart, Yes, Ziaja, Gatta, Matras, Molton, Vision Express, Reporter Young, Jupi Park, Cukiernia Sowa, Thai Restaurant, Kuchnia Polska, Berlin Doner Kebap, Grycan and others. The design of Galeria Sudecka provides for a retail area of 50,000 sqm. A mall including shops, boutiques, services and the first cinema multiplex in town is to be built first. The final stage of Galeria Sudecka will involve a two-phase construction of a retail park which will include a Leroy Merlin DIY supermarket with a total area of 15,000 sqm, among other things.
