C&A, a popular clothing brand all over Europe, is to make its debut in the Jelenia Góra area. A C&A shop with an area of 1,200 sqm is to open in Galeria Sudecka, which is being developed by Echo Investment.
“C&A is one of the leading brands on the clothing market. In a market survey carried out by us residents of Jelenia Góra and its immediate area often named C&A as the top clothing brand which they would like to have in their town. So I am convinced that the opening of C&A in Galeria Sudecka will please our customers. This is the coping stone of the very attractive fashion offer in our project. It will be the only C&A shop in Jelenia Góra,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department.
The first C&A shop was opened in 1861 in Holland and it was a great success as the first outlet which offered ready-to-wear clothing in various sizes. From 1910 C&A shops also started to emerge in Germany and England. The true development of the chain all over Europe started in the 1960s. C&A Europe, of which C&A Polska sp. z o.o. is part of, has app. 1,600 shops in 20 countries and it employs more than 37,500 people. C&A Europe is one of the leading fashion companies in Europe and it belongs to Cofra Holding AG.
Galeria Sudecka is 98-pct commercialized. Echo Investment has recently signed contracts with Vistula, Simple, Cukiernia Sowa, the Carry chain (1,000 sqm) and Super-Pharm (500 sqm) as well as letters of intent with the Agata Meble chain (10,000 sqm) and Komfort (700 sqm). Some tenants, including the Helios chain, have already taken up residence. Other companies will start the fit out work in their outlets soon. The multiplex of the Helios chain is getting furnished. LPP is also fitting out its areas (the Reserved, Mohito, Sinsay, House and Cropp Town brands) as well as Carry, Go Sport and Hebe. Work is also in progress inside the Fabryka Formy fitness club. Super-Pharm, RTV Euro AGD, Smyk, Empik, Martes Sport and Diverse are to start fitting their outlets this month.
Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district at the site of the Echo shopping centre which has been open for over 13 years. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets, as well as a multi screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area and a Fabryka Formy fitness club.Apart from a Real hypermarket (property of an Auchan chain), a Helios cinema and a Fabryka Formy fitness club tenants of Galeria Sudecka will include C&A, Reserved, Carry, Go Sport, Super-Pharm, Empik, Smyk, RTV Euro AGD, House, Mohito, Sinsay, Cropp Town, Diverse, Top Secret, Monnari, Gino Rossi, Vistula, Wólczanka, Simple, Ochnik, CCC, Wojas, Ryłko, Triumph, Lee Wrangler, Big Star, Martes Sport, 4F, Apart, Yes, Ziaja, Gatta, Matras, Molton, Vision Express, Reporter Young, Jupi Park, Cukiernia Sowa, Thai Restaurant, Kuchnia Polska, Berlin Doner Kebap, Grycan and others.
The design of Galeria Sudecka provides for a retail area of 50,000 sqm. A mall including shops, boutiques, services and the first cinema multiplex in town is to be built first. The final stage of Galeria Sudecka will involve a two-phase construction of a retail park which will include a Leroy Merlin DIY supermarket with a total area of 15,000 sqm, among other things. Customers of Galeria Sudecka will be able to use over 1,800 parking spaces.
