A home and garden supermarket of the Bricomarché chain is to be opened in the Echo shopping centre in Przemyśl which is managed by Echo Investment. It is the second shop of the chain in the developer’s facilities – a Bricomarché supermarket will also be opened in the Echo shopping centre in Bełchatów.

The Bricomarché shop in Przemyśl will have an area of nearly 4,000 sqm. The company will take over the former area of Nomi in November, when its lease contract expires. The opening is planned for Q2 2015. In March 2015 a Bricomarché supermarket with a similar area is also to be opened in Bełchatów, in a retail and service complex consisting of Galeria Olimpia and the Echo shopping centre. Echo Investment is planning to redevelop the Echo shopping centre in Bełchatów. As a result of the planned revitalization the facility is to change into a retail park specializing in the furnishing and interior design offer. “The changes in the Echo shopping centres in Przemyśl and Bełchatów are part of the revitalization trend in facilities which are already in operation. It concerns refreshing the offer as well as the modernization of the interior in projects completed several years ago. Our activities are a natural consequence of the changes which take place on the market. As an experienced developer we do not only carry out new large projects but we also improve older facilities. One example of this is Galeria Echo in Kielce or the planned extension of the Galaxy shopping centre, which also underwent a thorough modernization of its interior last year,” says Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. The group gathers 240 independent Polish entrepreneurs which mange the Intermarché grocery supermarkets and the Bricomarché home and garden supermarkets. The retail chain of Grupa Muszkieterów currently includes 205 Intermarché supermarkets and 97 Bricomarché. The Musketeers are present in 6 European countries: Poland, France, Belgium, Portugal and the Balcans. The Echo shopping centre in Przemyśl is located on 29 Listopada Street and it has an area of nearly 6,000 sqm. It currently includes a Nomi supermarket and a Carrefour hypermarket. The facility has 170 parking spaces. The Echo shopping centre in Bełchatów, the owner of which is a subsidiary of the Cypriot company Vousoka, is located on Kolejowa Street and together with Galeria Olimpia creates a functionally combined retail and service complex with a total leasable area of 32,900 sqm. It includes two grocery hypermarkets: Tesco and Carrefour as well as a Nomi DIY market. The facility is to be redeveloped within this year. The investor has a building permit. The offer of Galeria Olimpia includes 85 shops of brands such as: H&M, Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp, New Yorker, Orsay, Martes Sport, RTV Euro AGD, CCC, Deichmann, Centro, Kari, Ryłko, Wojas, Apart, Reporter, 4F, Adidas, Nike, Diverse, Matras, Douglas, ApiPharm, Loox, Rossmann, Takko Fashion, Wójcik, Artimex, Toxic Jeans and Dzieciaczek.
