Galeria Amber - the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Kalisz and Ostrów conurbation, which has been developed by Echo Investment - was visited as many as million times within only three months from its opening.
Galeria Amber was opened on the 20th of March earlier this year. The facility had a footfall of nearly 120,000 at the first weekend of its operations. Three months later it can boast a footfall of 1,120,000. “This is a number we are very proud of. We are happy with the record footfall and the fact that Galeria Amber is the most popular shopping centre in entire Kalisz and Ostrów conurbation. Our facility has not only become a favourite place for shopping but also a popular centre of entertainment and a place for spending free time for whole families. We keep extending its retail offer and introducing a lot of amenities including a bicycle parking area with video surveillance, Wi-Fi in the food court, an information point, a mother and baby room as well as a lost and found office,” says Marta Kostyk, director of Galeria Amber in Kalisz. The newly-opened shops in Galeria Amber include: Pepco, Pretty Girl, Yes, Scotfree, DanHen, Bianco Nero Marlyin Mori and Świat Zabawek. Galeria Amber is a three-storey shopping and entertainment centre located in the centre of Kalisz, near the main railway and bus stations, at the crossroads of Górnośląska Street and Trasa Burszytnowa. It is the largest facility of its kind in the Kalisz and Ostrów conurbation which has a population of nearly 350,000 people. It has a leasable area of 33,500 sqm. Tenants of Galeria Amber include: an E.Leclerc hypermarket, Helios, Fitness Club Fabryka Formy, H&M, C&A, New Yorker, Reserved, Intersport, RTV Euro AGD, Home&You, Smyk, Empik, Deichmann, CCC, Mohito, Sinsay, Cropp Town, House, Orsay, Monnari, Kazar, Ryłko, Wojas, Ecco, Matras, Vistula, Lavard, Pierre Cardin, Ochnik, Yes, Vision Express, SunLoox, as well as the KFC, McDonald"s and North Fish restaurants, among others. The facility includes a hypermarket and nearly 140 shops and service outlets, cafes and restaurants. There is also a 7-screen Helios cinema. Customers will be able to use approx. 1,000 parking spaces. The preliminary architectural concept of Galeria Amber was created by Bose International Planning and Architecture. The mall was designed as a multi-storey retail, service and entertainment facility including one floor of an underground car park and two floors of an above-ground car park. The above-ground part of the facility consists of two full retail floors and a partial second floor containing the cinema and the recreational area.
