An Empik outlet is to be opened in the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Bełchatów, which has been developed by Echo Investment.

“Our chain operated an outlet in the town centre so far but we decided to change the location and open Empik in Galeria Olimpia because it is in this facility where the modern trade is concentrated nowadays. The new location provides us with better possibilities for development and presentation of our offer, that is why we joined the Olimpia"s group of tenants with no hesitation,” says Jarosław Szymkiewicz, operations director at Empik. Empik"s outlet in Galeria Olimpia will have an area of nearly 300 sqm. Empik is the largest distribution chain of cultural, knowledge and entertainment assets on the Polish market. It has been a fixed element of the cultural landscape of Poland for 65 years. In over 200 stores the company offers books, music, films, multimedia and board games, newspapers, home decorations, educational products and toys, as well as tickets for various events. Galeria Olimpia has been in operation since 2012, the shops which have recently been opened in the mall include: Dzieciaczek, Toxic Jeans and Wójcik. They will soon be joined by Artimex and Euro Apteka, among others. A contract with Pepco is also being finalized. Galeria Olimpia is located at Kolejowa Street 6. Together with the neighbouring Echo shopping centre, which is owned by a subsidiary of the Cypriot company Vousoka, it creates a functionally combined shopping and service complex with a gross leasable area of 32,900 sqm. It includes two grocery hypermarkets: Tesco and Carrefour, as well as a Nomi DIY supermarket. The general contractor of the facility was Polimex-Mostostal SA. Its design was created in the MOFO Architekci architectural studio. The facility was opened in November 2012. Galeria Olimpia includes 85 shops of brands such as: H&M, Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp, New Yorker, Orsay, Martes Sport, RTV Euro AGD, CCC, Deichmann, Centro, Kari, Ryłko, Wojas, Apart, Reporter, 4F, Adidas, Nike, Diverse, Matras, Douglas, ApiPharm, Loox, Rossmann, Takko Fashion, Wójcik, Artimex, Toxic Jeans and Dzieciaczek. The entertainment is provided by a Helios multi-screen cinema. Drivers can use a total of 1,050 parking spaces. www.galeriaolimpia.com.pl
