A new conceptual design for the former Cracovia hotel, which was created by the DDJM architectural studio, was presented on February 28th this year.

The design, which was developed over a period of 6 months by a team of architects in consultation with representatives of Kraków municipality, was presented by Marek Dunikowski from DDJM. Participants of the meetings included Jacek Majchrowski, mayor of Kraków, who emphasized that the new design alludes very well to the history of the site and offers modern functions at the same time. The building designed by DDJM will have a total area of 25,000 sqm, 17,000 sqm of which will be earmarked for retail space. Apart from shops Nowa Cracovia will include: cafes, restaurants, a cinema and a museum. The design also includes a subway which will connect the building with Piłsudskiego Street. www.nowacracovia.pl
