A Martes Sport shop with an area of 350 sqm and a CCC shop with an area in excess of 900 sqm are to be opened in Galeria Sudecka which is being developed by Echo Investment in Poland.
Contracts with the new tenants of Galeria Sudecka were signed during the winter edition of the "Shopping Center Forum" fair in Warsaw.“We are very pleased that partners of Galeria Sudecka have been joined by such popular brands as Martes Sport and CCC. Galeria Sudecka is being developed at a well promoted site which has been popular with customers for 13 years. Its unique location creates favourable conditions for the placement of as broad offer as possible, which will make Galeria Sudecka a regional centre. And this is the task which we are currently implementing,” says Marek Gładki, director of the commercialization and marketing team in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. Martes Sport is a nationwide chain which specializes in the sale of sports clothing, footwear and accessories. The Martes Sport company was established in 1997. The chain currently includes 69 Martes Sport shops and 9 Hi-Tec outlet shops. Martes Sport shops offer products of such brands as: Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Arena, Colmar, Hi-Tec, Iguana, Magnum, Martes, Elbrus, Salomon, Ecco, Merrell, Kross, The North Face, Brugi, Head, Atomic, Rossignol, Blizzard, Uwex, Carrera and Viking. CCC SA is the market leader of the Polish footwear retail sales and it is the largest manufacturer of shoes in Poland. The CCC group has its shops in modern shopping centres and malls in 14 countries, it has its own factory of leather shoes, employs 7,000 people and sells 25 mln pairs of shoes per year. The construction of Galeria Sudecka is progressing according to schedule. The contractor of its shell is Eiffage Polska Budownictwo SA. The construction of the building shell is currently in progress and its completion is planned for May later this year. The opening of Galeria Sudecka is planned for H2 2014. Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district at the site of the Echo shopping centre which has been open for over 13 years. It will be the first shopping and entertainment centre in the Jelenia Góra region. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets, as well as a 7-screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area. The commercialization of the project amounts to 70 pct. The investor has planned a retail area of 45,000 sqm in the design of Galeria Sudecka. The first one to be built will be a mall including shops, boutiques and service outlets as well as the first in the town 7-screen Helios cinema. The final stage of Galeria Sudecka development will be the construction of a retail park which will include a large format DIY shop, among others. Its customers will be able to use over 1,800 parking spaces. Tenants of Galeria Sudecka will include Hypermarket Auchan, the shops of the LPP group (Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp Town and Sinsay), which will occupy a combined area of 3,500 sqm, as well as RTV Euro AGD, GoSport, Smyk, Empik and North Fish. www.galeriasudecka.pl
