New concept for the Korona Center in Brasov, Romania
New concept for the Korona Center in Brasov, Romania

A new concept has been shaped for the Korona shopping and entertainment center to be built by Echo Investment in Brasov, Romania. Its design has been reformatted and adapted to the current market needs, thus gaining enhanced functionality and accessibility. The construction is planned to start in 2014.

“We have decided to adapt the design to the current market situation and the expectations of our partners. The Korona Center will become more customer-friendly thanks to the fact that all retail and service functions will be located on a single floor. The comfort of customers arriving by car will be enhanced by the modern parking area located directly beneath the center's building and equipped with convenient entrances and exits, wide parking spots, and a parking occupancy information system. At the same time, the project will maintain the originally planned shopping and entertainment functions,” said Marcin Materny, Director of the Foreign Shopping Center Department at Echo Investment. Echo Investment is planning to commence construction of the Korona Center in 2014. It is projected to take approximately 18 months. The value of the project is 100 million euro.
Korona is a modern, multi-functional shopping and entertainment center with retail space of 35,000 square meters, planned to house about 120 premises, and is to include stores and service points, restaurants, and an entertainment zone with a 7-screen movie theater. The conceptual design of the Korona Center was prepared by Bose International Planning & Architecture design office. www.korona-brasov.ro
