Galeria Sudecka – launch of construction work

Echo Investment has started construction work related to the development of Galeria Sudecka – the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Jelenia Góra region.

The project of Echo Investment involves the redevelopment and extension of the Echo shopping centre which has been located on Jana Pawła II Avenue for nearly 13 years. The demolition work on the section where the NOMI market used to be is currently in progress. The work related to the construction of the new section of the facility is to start at the site soon. “We have laid the foundation stone, modernized the existing section and opened the Real hypermarket. The dismantling work is the beginning of the construction process regarding Galeria Sudecka. The first to be built is an arcade including shops, boutiques and service outlets as well as the first in the town 7-screen Helios cinema. The final stage of Galeria Sudecka"s development will involve the construction of a retail park, which will include a large format DIY shop,” says Marcin Materny, sales director in Echo Investment"s shopping centre department. In the design of Galeria Sudecka the investor has provided for a retail area of 45,000 sqm. There will be over 1,800 parking spaces for customers. Tenants of Galeria Sudecka include shops of the LPP group (Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp Town and Sinsay), which will occupy a combined area of 3,500 sqm, as well as GoSport which will have a shop with an area of 1,350 sqm. Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district. It will be the first shopping and entertainment centre in the Jelenia Góra region.
