The Deichmann footwear chain has leased a unit with an area of 500 sqm in Galeria Amber, which is being developed by Echo Investment.
Deichmann offers footwear of brands including: Elefanten, Gallus, Medicus, 5th Avenue, Graceland, Victory, Adidas, Nike, Puma and Fila. 211 shops of the chain operate in Poland at this time. The company also sells the footwear in its on-line shop at www.deichmann.com. The commercialization of Galeria Amber is proceeding very efficiently. Nearly 75 pct of its retail area has already been leased. So far contracts have been signed with: the E.Leclerc hypermarket, the Helios cinema chain and shops including: Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp Town, Sinsay, H&M, C&A, New Yorker, RTV Euro AGD, Matras, CCC, Rossmann, 4F, Adidas, Reebok, Kazar, Ecco, Orsay, Via Roma and VIP Collection. The development of Galeria Amber is proceeding according to schedule. Work on the shell of the facility is nearing completion. The retail area will start being handed over to retailers in April later this year. The opening of Galeria Amber is planned for November 2013. Galeria Amber is a four-storey shopping and entertainment centre, which is being built in the centre of Kalisz, near the main railway and bus stations, at the junction of Górnośląska Street and Trasa Bursztynowa. Its leasable area amounts to 33,500 sqm. The facility will contain an E.Leclerc hypermarket as well as 140 shops and service outlets, including cafes and restaurants. There is also a 7-screen cinema planned, the operator of which will be Helios. Its customers will have app. 1,000 parking spaces at their disposal. The preliminary architectural concept of Galeria Amber has been developed by Bose International Planning and Architecture.
