Building permit for Galeria Sudecka
Building permit for Galeria Sudecka

Galeria Sudecka – the first regional shopping and entertainment centre in Jelenia Góra, which is being developed by Echo Investment, has obtained a building permit.

The development of Galeria Sudecka is proceeding according to schedule. “The receipt of the building permit is very good news. Work related to the preparation of the area which has been earmarked for the Real hypermarket as well as the alteration of the existing part of the Echo shopping centre started in January; work related to the new part of the shopping centre is to start later this year, in May while the completion of the project is scheduled for the spring of 2014,” says Marcin Materny, director of the Shopping Centre Department at Echo Investment. Echo Investment also has a permit for the building of a road project including the construction of a roundabout which will constitute the focal point of the road layout, the so-called ring road of the town, which will surround the facility from the West and the North and join Legnicka Street and the provincial road to Wrocław. The commercialization of Galeria Sudecka is proceeding smoothly. Contracts have already been signed with the Real hypermarket (12,000 sqm), the LPP group (Reserved, House, Mohito, Cropp and Sinsay – the total area of LPP shops amounts to 3,500 sqm) and Helios – a 7-screen cinema of this chain is to be opened in Galeria Sudecka. Galeria Sudecka is being developed in the Zabobrze district, in the north-eastern part of Jelenia Góra. The facility will be built as a result of an extension of the Echo shopping centre on Jana Pawła II Avenue, which has been operating for 12 years. Galeria Sudecka will be the first shopping and entertainment centre in the Jelenia Góra region. Its proven, existing location, the offer of 100 shops and service outlets, as well as its well-promoted brand predispose the project to be a regional centre, which will probably also be frequented by visitors from abroad due to its unique location. The new facility will have a total area of 53,000 sqm. Its retail area will amount to 30,000 sqm. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets as well as the 7-screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area. There will also be a new underground car park – customers will have a total of 1,200 parking spaces at their disposal. www.galeriasudecka.pl
