Presentation of Galeria Sudecka
Presentation of Galeria Sudecka

A presentation of Galeria Sudecka took place in the Jelenia Góra Town Hall. The presentation was carried out by Marcin Zawiła, mayor of Jelenia Góra and Krzysztof Giemza, director of the Shopping Centre Department in Echo Investment.

During the meeting they presented details of the project, its functional programme and a very good position of the ECHO shopping centre, which has been operating in Jelenia Góra for 12 years. “I am very happy about the extension plans regarding the ECHO centre. Our town is open to all investments that improve its infrastructure and enable people to use an attractive retail and entertainment offer. A project such as Galeria Sudecka also provides new jobs, which is particularly important for us,” said Marcin Zawiła, mayor of Jelenia Góra. “The Echo shopping centre has been present on the market for 12 years; we want to use the potential of the location by way of transforming the facility into a modern shopping and entertainment centre, which Jelenia Góra certainly deserves. I am convinced that Galeria Sudecka will be the biggest and the best project of this type in the region. The extension of the existing shopping centre will result in a considerably broader offer of this facility, which has a proven location and a group of loyal customers,” says Krzysztof Giemza, director of the Shopping Centre Department in Echo Investment. During the presentation Echo Investment was also represented by Karolina Prędota, leasing manager, who told the audience about the retail and entertainment offer of Galeria Sudecka, and Krzysztof Skrzypek, project manager, who described the details concerning its development and the schedule of work. The video is available on the YouTube channel of Echo Investment. ***
Galeria Sudecka will be built in the Zabobrze district, in the north-eastern part of Jelenia Góra. The facility is to be developed as a result of the extension of the Echo shopping centre on Jana Pawła II Avenue. The commercialization of Galeria Sudecka is going smoothly. The investor has signed contracts with a number companies including: a Real hypermarket, which is to replace the Carrefour hypermarket that has been operating in the Echo shopping centre, as well as Helios – there will be a 7-screen cinema of this company opened in Galeria Sudecka.  There has also been a contract signed with the Go Sport chain. Advanced negotiations with the biggest international clothing operators are in progress, including companies such as: Inditex, H&M, LPP, New Yorker, the RTV Euro AGD electronics chain and Empik Media & Fashion. The new facility will have a total area of 53,000 sqm. Its retail area will amount to 30,000 sqm. The centre is planned to include 100 shops, restaurants and service outlets as well as the 7-screen Helios cinema with a cafe and bar area. There will also be a new underground car park – customers will have a total of 1,200 parking spaces at their disposal. The launch of the project is planned for the spring of 2013. Galeria Sudecka is to be opened in the spring of 2014. www.galeriasudecka.pl
