Echo Investment, which is developing the Korona shopping and entertainment centre, has signed an agreement with the Romanian architectural studio B23T, which is to develop a concept and a design of the biggest shopping and entertainment centre in the Brasov region.
Under the contract the B23T architectural studio is to develop the comprehensive concept as well as the construction and tender designs. The completion of the design work is planned for Q2 2013.
B23T with its seat in Bucharest was established as a result of a merger between two recognized architectural studios: B2 International Consultants SRL and 3T Birou de Arhitectura SRL. The company has long-term experience and a portfolio consisting of several dozen prestigious projects. They include shopping and entertainment centres [Promenada Mall, Bucharest], office and residential projects, as well as public utility buildings.
In the middle of September earlier this year Echo Investment acquired additional plots with a combined area of app. 9,000 sqm. The purchase transaction finished the first, administrative and acquisition-related stage of the development process and signified the start of the preparation phase regarding the implementation of Echo Investment"s first foreign project.
Another step was the lease agreement signed by Echo Investment and Carrefour also in September this year. According to the agreement there will be a Carrefour hypermarket with an area of app. 8,500 sqm opened in the Korona centre. The agreement started the commercialization process of the biggest shopping and entertainment centre in the Brasov region.

Korona is a modern, multifunctional entertainment and shopping centre. In the first stage of the project the space of 35000 sqm was allocated to shops, service outlets, restaurants, entertainment area and 7-screen cinema, the next stage will provide additional 10 000 sqm of retail area. The clients of Echo will have minimum 1500 parking places. Conceptual design study of Korona was prepared by Bose International Planning & Architecture.
The Centre is planned to be built in the first half of 2013, and completed in the fourth quarter of 2014.
