Polimex-Mostostal has become the general contractor of Galeria Olimpia in Bełchatów.

Echo Investment has concluded a general contracting agreement with Polimex - Mostostal SA regarding Galeria Olimpia in Bełchatów. The value of the contract amounts to PLN 80.3 mln net. Construction work is to start within the next two weeks.

Galeria Olimpia is being developed in the area of Armii Krajowej and Kolejowa streets, on a plot of land neighbouring Centrum Handlowe Echo. The leasable area of the project amounts to app. 21,000 sqm. It will include approx. 80 shops as well as service and gastronomy outlets. There will be two car parks servicing traffic around the centre, an underground one and an above-ground one, which will offer a total of 800 parking spaces.

Galeria Olimpia and the neighbouring Centrum Handlowe Echo, which is currently owned by Vousoka Ltd, will create a functionally connected retail and service complex with a gross leasable area exceeding 30,500 sqm. Customers will be able choose from the product offer of two hypermarkets and approx. 100 shops while a multi-screen cinema will complete the offer of entertainment services.

Galeria Olimpia is to be opened in August 2012.
