The first multidimensional cinema in the Świętokrzyskie region will be opened in Galeria Echo in Kielce.
Thus Kielce will join the group of eight cities in Poland where this type of entertainment is available. Multifunctional cinemas of the Kino 5D company currently operate in Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and Gdańsk, among others.
5D cinemas are a very popular form of entertainment in Japan and the USA combining 3D picture with natural effects such as water, fog, wind, smell and fire. Thanks to moveable chairs spectators can also feel shocks and pulls, which enhance the sensation of participating in the movie being shown. It is easy to identify with the hero of the film and personally find out what crossing a swollen river in a pontoon is like as well as being able to touch cold waves of the ocean, smell prehistoric reptiles orexperience a true blizzard.
“This is a place where a viewer can experience a film with all their senses. 3D picture and digital surround sound are not enough these days. The time has come for new sensations, which we can easily call the entertainment of the future. The viewer is at the heart of evens and is an active participant of the show” says Maciej Kwitek from Kino 5D Extreme.
5D cinemas also serve an educational function – there is a special teaching repertoire prepared which delivers precious knowledge about the natural environment in an attractive way. Customers of Galeria Echo will be able to use the 5D cinema from autumn 2011. To find out how 5D cinemas work and see spectators’ reactions, see the video at www.kino5dextreme.pl
