Warsaw Breweries nominated for a real estate Oscar - MIPIM Awards

Warsaw Breweries as the only project in Poland was nominated to the prestigious MIPIM Award 2022. The city-forming complex has a chance to gain a title of Best Mixed-Use Development.

MIPIM Awards, often called Oscars of the real estate industry, are presented during the international real estate and investment fair MIPIM in Cannes – an event that is one of the largest and most prestigious of its kind in the world. This year, Poland is represented by Warsaw Breweries, the flagship destination project of Echo Investment, which was completed in 2021. The JEMS Architekci studio is responsible for the architectural design of the complex.

Warsaw Breweries' development began in 2016. This almost empty plot of 4.4 hectares has become a full-fledged, vibrant part of the city, with three modern office buildings, five residential buildings and four historical structures: Warzelnia (the Malthouse), Leżakownia (the Storage Cellars), Willa Fabrykanka (the Fabricants's Villa) and Laboratorium (the Laboratory). In a place where the most famous beer in the country was brewed some years ago, a well-designed place was created, in which historical and modern architecture, private and public spaces, greenery and buildings all exist in harmony.

"Warsaw Breweries is a fulfilment of our idea of creating “destinations” – large, city-forming projects that are in line with cites’ needs and complement them. The project is a perfect example of Echo Investment’s approach to building wisely and responsibly designed fragments of the city. When we started working on Warsaw Breweries six years ago, presenting it as the first destination project, it was a ground-breaking concept on the Polish market because it aimed to create a real, multifunctional city to live, have home, and visit. Today, looking at the finished project, we are proud that this aim came true and turned out to be a huge success," says Nicklas Lindberg, CEO of Echo Investment.

In addition to the office space designed in accordance with the latest trends, as well as over 1 thous. apartments for sale and rent, Warsaw Breweries attract with open, green public spaces and a well-tailored gastronomic and entertainment offer. In 2021, 26 food and beverage concepts opened here, including a very popular among the locals Food Hall Browary, featuring 12 restaurants and bars. Warsaw Breweries have become a meeting place popular with business, people from Warsaw, tourists as well as celebrities and influencers.

The success of Warsaw Breweries is also confirmed by the awards that Echo Investment received in 2021, including: the title of the best mixed-use development in the CEE Retail Awards competition; GRAND PRIX and the title of the best public space in the prestigious competition SARP 2021 Award of the Year or the debut of the catering concept for the Warsaw Breweries and the title of Culinary Event of the Year – the opening of Food Hall Browary as part of Food Business Forum.
