Grupa Żywiec will move its office to “the beer district” of Warsaw
Grupa Żywiec will move its office to “the beer district” of Warsaw

Grupa Żywiec plans to move its Warsaw office to the city center. The company selected Wola, which is the most “beer-ish” of the city's districts. In autumn 2020, Grupa Żywiec will move to Browary Warszawskie.

Grupa Żywiec will lease nearly 4 400 square meters in the Malthouse Offices that is the second office building in the very heart of the all-purpose project developed by Echo Investment. Browary Warszawskie, where the new office of Grupa Żywiec will be located, is surrounded by beautifully restored buildings of a former brewery.

The history of brewing in Wola dates back to the 19th century. In 1846, Haberbusch and Schiele brewery was established at Grzybowska Street, which quickly became a thriving enterprise. After the war, the Warsaw Brewery Company (Warszawskie Zakłady Piwowarskie) was opened in its place, where Królewskie beer was born - today leading brand in Warsaw and one of the key regional brands in the portfolio of Grupa Żywiec.

"Browary Warszawskie is a modern, prestigious location with a beautiful history of which we are part of. This location perfectly highlights both our heritage and the potential and ambitions expressed in modern architecture and a vibrant social atmosphere of the district. The new office will also allow us more flexibility in the arrangement of the space, which should harmonize with dynamically changing working styles" says Francois-Xavier Mahot, president of Grupa Żywiec S.A.

Browary Warszawskie also meet the requirements of Grupa Żywiec due to the philosophy of space design as guided by the investment. It is creating a place where people can work, spend time together and meet the needs of everyday life. This is the developer's flagship project emerging in the heart of the fastest growing district of Warsaw, of which Grupa Żywiec will soon be part of.

"We feel honoured that Grupa Żywiec decided to choose Warsaw Brewery as its new office. The place where the Polish brewing industry was born and successfully developed, now returning to the capital as a vibrant part of the city, with all its purposes and amenities close at hand. The office part of our city quarter is enriched by a dream tenant. We are bonded by the past of this place. In autumn 2020, we will celebrate together in the vicinity of the stunning Malthouse and 170-year-old storage cellars", commented Michał Żelski, regional director at Echo Investment's office department.

The Żywiec Group advisor in the process of choosing a location and arranging a new office is CBRE.
